(Quick hello- I'm new :D)

breakfast: steel cut oats with ground flax seed and blueberries, half a banana. coffee.
lunch: two slices of deli "turkey" on half a pita with lettuce and mustard. small salad with baby carrots and broccoli. grapes.
dinner: grilled portobella "burger" on orowheat bread with lettuce and mustard. one carrot, small apple, corn on the cob.
dessert: chocolate-espresso cupcake with espresso-buttercream frosting (from vegan cupcakes take over the world).
snack: handful of nuts.

b: Orange-Banana-Pineapple smoothie, pomegranate green tea, water, 2 T pumpkin seeds

s: crunchy curried chickpeas

l: Salad: romaine, arrugala, parsley, broccoli, cucumber, tomato salad sprinkled with tamari pumpkin seeds and topped w/EVOO, OJ and white balsamic vinegar; broccoli, tomatoes and cucumbers with lemon hummus

s: 2 T pumpkin seeds

d: (i recreated my favorite dish at Carrabbas-Tagliarini Picchi Pacchiu) angel hair pasta, crushed tomatoes, olive oil, basil and a ridiculous amount of garlic

diet sprite w/3 olives berry vodka, 2 T chocolate chips, 2T salted peanuts

Breakfast: navel orange, green tea w/ vanilla soy milk, raw sugar
 
Snack: banana, few hazelnuts/brazil nuts
 
Lunch: mish mosh of stuff! :)  hummus, sliced avocado w/ lemon juice & sea salt, carrots, broccoli, veggie-flax tortilla chips, 2 Gardein tenders, brown rice & black/white beans
 
Dinner: small bowl whole wheat pasta w/ mushroom marinara
 
Snack: 2 slices of Ezekiel bread - 1 w/ FYH cream cheese, 1 w/ Earth Balance, pear

I'm curious.... Does anyone else here suffer from any mental illness? I know there's a couple who have bipolar like I do, but I was curious if there were more who were dealing with something ontop (or because) of the migraines

Hello everyone. So, a friend of mine who witnessed me having one of my migraines found this community and thought I should join, so here I am!

I'm 16 years old and have been suffering from awful migraines since I was twelve. At this moment, I'm being passed from specialist to specialist while they try to determine what to do. I saw a neurologist about two months ago who ordered an MRI for me. On the MRI they determined that my sinuses were inflamed (on a day that I did NOT have a headache) and have decided that that is what causes my headaches (because if they're inflamed normally, they must be REALLY inflamed to cause me the pain of a headache). I've been waiting on an appointment with a sinus specialist for over a month now. I'm scheduled for Friday the 15th of January, but in the meantime, I'm helpless.

The issue I'm having is that my headaches are so severe that I vomit, am sensitive to light and sounds, and am just totally unable to function for the duration of them (sometimes two to three days.) I've tried everything from over the counter NSAIDs, sinus medications, a Neti Pot, and prescription migraine medications to hot and cold therapy and nothing even puts a DENT in the pain.

I'm coming to realize that these are more sinus headaches than they are migraines, but I was wondering if anyone had ANY suggestions to offer about alleviating the pain because I've been waiting so long to see this doctor and I am just in so much pain.

**EDIT: The numerous doctors and specialists as well as the ER doctor that treated me have determined that my headaches aren't caused by hormonal changes to the best of their knowledge, even with my age.

ALSO (SO many edits, I apologize) As of late, I am having a problem distinguishing my dreams from reality. In many situations when I call upon a memory, I can't determine if I dreamed it or if it actually experienced. As far as I know, this is usually a side effect to a drug, but I am currently not taking any medications. I'm not sure what to make of this.

1 glass red wine
1 jasmine-plum water
dessert: light plain soy milk blended w/banana and peanut butter

Newbie here!   :)     Would greatly appreciate any tips, guidance, etc.   I love reading your posts!

Breakfast: Anjou pear, banana, green tea w/ soy creamer & raw sugar (all organic)

Snack: hummus w/ veggie-flax tortilla chips

Lunch: homemade split pea-barley-veggie soup, 2 slices Ezekiel bread w/ soy-free Earth Balance

Snack: So Delicious chocolate yogurt, few dry roasted/unsalted hazelnuts/brazil nuts

Dinner: 4 "Gardein" tenders, brown rice w/ black & white beans, broccoli & vegan parm. cheese

Resolution: post on here more to make sure I'm eating healthy!

- veggie sub at a random sub shop, with the limpest veggies ever :-(

After midnight:
- champagne!

L: Veggie beef and snow peas with half a cup brown rice; 5 steamed dumplings
S: more of lunch, sip of cognac
D: salad with spring mix, asparagus, 1/4 of an avocado, 1/4 apple, and TB miso dressing; 2 slices baguette with eggplant spread and tapenade
Snacks: popchip crumbs, slice baguette with tsp veg cream cheese, more bites of lunch leftovers, small bowl of spring mix and miso, kame crackers with avocado, half cup rice with TB tahini, veg cc and salsa
